Urgent construction of two field hospitals underway to bolster Covid-19 prevention and control efforts.

July 17, 2021

In response to the urgent demands of the pandemic, An Phong joins hands with the city to construct two field hospitals in District 7 and Binh Chanh District, funded by Van Thinh Phat Group.

The Binh Chanh Field Hospital is being built on Lot No. 6, Zone 9A + B, spanning an area of 5.6 hectares at the southern gateway of Ho Chi Minh City, approximately 12 km from the city center. Meanwhile, the District 7 Field Hospital is located at 16 Dao Tri Street, Phu Thuan Ward, covering 3 hectares. Both projects officially broke ground on July 8.

With a combined capacity of nearly 7,000 beds across 8.6 hectares, the two hospitals were committed to be operational within just 30 days — a timeline that underscores the immense workload and unprecedented urgency of the mission. Driven by a strong sense of duty to the community, the entire An Phong team, from top management to frontline workers, was mobilized to bring these vital facilities to life.

Despite challenges posed by pandemic restrictions and travel limitations, strong support from city authorities helped streamline logistics. Within a single day, An Phong successfully mobilized nearly 1,000 personnel and hundreds of pieces of machinery and equipment to the two construction sites.

All staff and workers underwent Covid-19 testing prior to entering the construction zones and strictly adhered to the government’s 5K safety measures.

Under the direct supervision of An Phong’s executive board, both sites operated around the clock in three shifts, executing work across multiple zones simultaneously.

Thanks to relentless effort and the trust placed in An Phong by both the city and the Van Thinh Phat Group, the project was completed on time and delivered as per the original commitment — a testament to An Phong’s capability, reputation, and dedication in a time of national need.
