Fire Safety Training at AP Tower
January 01, 2023
The drill was based on a simulated scenario in which the building was occupied by 700 employees and visitors. A sudden electrical short circuit occurred in the B3 basement level, sparking a fire that quickly spread to surrounding areas. The fire produced heavy smoke, toxic gases, and high temperatures, rapidly engulfing the B2 and B1 basement levels. The thick smoke severely hampered firefighting, rescue operations, and the evacuation of personnel and assets.
Upon detecting the fire, the building's fire alarm and emergency announcement systems were activated. The AP Tower fire response team promptly guided occupants to evacuate via emergency exits while using on-site firefighting equipment, such as fire hoses and extinguishers, to contain the fire and administer first aid to victims while awaiting support from the fire department.

After the drill, the Building Management and Safety Committee held a review meeting to evaluate and draw lessons from the exercise. According to the Safety Committee’s assessment, the drill provided AP Tower employees with essential fire safety knowledge and hands-on training in using fire extinguishers, deploying hoses, operating wall-mounted fire hydrants, performing rescue techniques, and executing safe evacuation procedures.
